　I finally finished translating the essay I mensioned before. It's a very famous and important one on morality of abortion and was translated in Japan almost 20 years ago. However, the abribiated translation of it was no good, to say the least, because essential parts were omitted including two sections which lead to the conclusion of the essay. Surely it's a kind of mistranslation or even some would call it a distortion of the original text. I suspect the author did not know which part of her text was cut in the Japanese version. The fact that this omission has not been criticized and not revised through reprinting for almost two decades testifies that there are few discussion on this topic in Japan.
