声明 : 米国最高裁の「ロー対ウェイド」判決を覆す判断に抗議する
2022 年 6 月 26 日、女性の人工妊娠中絶の権利を認めた 1973 年の「ロー対ウェイド」判決を覆す判断を、アメリカ合衆国連邦最高裁判所が下しました。アメリカでは女性が人工妊娠中絶を受ける権利およびその実施可能期間が州法で定められていますが、この度人工妊娠中絶を禁止する法律を合憲とする判決が下されたことにより、ケンタッキー、ルイジアナ、アーカンソー、サウスダコタ、ミズーリ、オクラホマ、アラバマの各州では、人工妊娠中絶ができなくなります。今後他の州でも中絶禁止法が成立するとみられており、経済力のある女性は州や国を越えて移動し、移動できない女性は人工妊娠中絶を受ける権利を奪われることになります。妊娠・出産は時に母体の生命を危険にさらすものであり、女性が出産を望まない場合、人工妊娠中絶の禁止は女性が社会生活・健康や生命を失うことをも強制しかねないものです。
すべての人が望むタイミングで望む数だけ子をもつことを保証する SRHR（セクシュアル・リプロダクティブ・ヘルス/ライツ：性と生殖に関する健康と権利）は、基本的人権の一つです。希望するすべての女性が安全で質の高い人工妊娠中絶を受けることができることは SRHR の重要な一部であります。我々は女性の健康を守るプロフェッショナルとして、世界の全ての女性が自由意思で人工妊娠中絶を選択できることが保障されることを求め、米国における女性の人権侵害に断固反対します。

JSOG Statement:Regarding Our Protest of the U.S. Supreme Court's Decision to Overturn the Roe v. Wade
On June 26, 2022, the United States Supreme Court issued a decision reversing the 1973 "Roe v. Wade" decision, which recognized women's right to an abortion. In the United States, a woman's right to an abortion and the period of time during which it can be performed are set by state law. Recently, the Supreme Court ruled that laws banning abortion are constitutional, meaning that abortions will no longer be available in Kentucky, Louisiana, Arkansas, South Dakota, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Alabama. It is expected that other states will pass anti-abortion laws in the future, meaning that women with the economic means to cross state or national borders will do for their abortions, but those who do not have the economic means to do this will not be able to exercise their right to abortions. Pregnancy and childbirth can put the life of the mother in danger, and for women who do not wish to have a child, banning abortions may force them to give up their position in society, health, and even their lives.
Sexual and reproductive health/rights (SRHR) are fundamental rights that guarantee that all people can have as many, or as few children as they want, at the time they want. Access to safe, quality abortions for all women is an important SRHR. As women's health professionals, we hope that all women across the world be guaranteed the right to freely choose to have abortions. We firmly oppose this violation of women's human rights in the United States.
